WARNING:
SEEDS CONTAINING THE ROUNDUP READY® TRAIT AND THE ROUNDUP READY 2 YIELD® TRAIT are protected under numerous United States patents, including Patent No. RE39,247. It is unlawful to save Roundup Ready® Soybeans or Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® Soybeans for planting or transfer to others for use as a planting seed.
NEW SEED PURCHASED FROM NORTEC WILL ENSURE OUR CUSTOMERS are receiving the highest quality and highest yielding soybeans vs. bin-run soybeans. Nortec seed is rigorously tested to assure the highest level of germination. We guarantee our seed is professionally handled, has varietal purity and will be weed-free.
Farmers wanting to use bin-run soybeans will have an average 10-15% cleanout and planting rates are generally 15% higher. There are also extra costs using bin-run soybeans for handling, storage and transportation.
There is some limited warranty benefits associated with buying new seed. Nortec will give you dealer support throughout the growing season. When purchasing Monsanto brand herbicide, risk can be reduced through the Roundup Rewards® program.
Purchasing new seed supports Monsanto’s research and development of the new traits and new higher yielding germplasm. New trait and germplasm introductions take 7-9 years before the farmer can utilize the new technology and each trait can cost from $50M-$100M. Nortec and Monsanto are committed to your success.
NORTEC SEEDS, INC. ADVISES ALL CUSTOMERS that saving any seed with Monsanto patented traits or seeds, including conventional seeds containing a Monsanto or Monsanto affiliate germplasm patent is a violation of U.S. patent law and is illegal.
Patented seed is intended for a single crop. Patented seed cannot be saved for future crop production. Seed piracy hinders the development of future technologies and their benefits to agriculture. A person who helps save seed containing patent traits is also infringing on the patents and is contributing to a violation of the terms under which the seed was sold. Any grower asking to have the patented seed cleaned is putting himself and the seed cleaner at risk.

ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW PESTICIDE LABEL DIRECTIONS. Roundup Ready® crops contain genes that confer tolerance to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup® brand agricultural herbicides. Roundup® brand agricultural herbicides will kill crops that are not tolerant to glyphosate. WARNING:
Seed products with the LibertyLink® (LL) trait are resistant to the herbicide glufosinate ammonium, an alternative to glyphosate in corn, and combine high yielding genetics with the powerful, non-selective, postemergent weed control of Ignite® herbicide for optimum yield and excellent weed control.
Soybean seeds containing the LibertyLink® trait are protected under multiple United States patents and may be planted only to produce one (1) commercial crop and only after signing a Grower Trait License agreement. It is illegal to save or catch soybean seeds containing the LibertyLink trait for use as planting seed or for transfer to others for use as planting seed.
